More Cousins! This Time in Tuscany

We have visited cousins Gabriella and Dinesh on past trips and they keep inviting us back! They live in a secluded spot in southern Tuscany where relaxation is of utmost importance. We managed to get out a few times for pranzo (lunch) and cena (dinner), but the best meals were at their house, with a Florentine steak on the bbq as the highlight. Prosecco and fine red wine make their way to the table, food or not.

There is lots of interesting conversation about books, writing (especially Dinesh’s short stories), relatives, travel, friends, health (they are both retired doctors), and food.

Their garden amazes us each time we visit. Hillsides of rosemary were blooming, attracting anxious bees. Tulips popped up to enhance the vistas. And the olive trees (more planted since our last visit) had been expertly pruned. And, yes, they invited us back on our next trip.
