È vero, non è un sogno! Bonnie e Robert sono qui a Roma. Sembra come se non fossero passati tre anni..come quando la sera saluti un amico ” Ciao, ci vediamo domani” e il giorno dopo riprendi il discorso interrotto la sera prima. La stessa sensazione l’ho avuta con B+B. Domani partiamo per Serra Sant’Abbondio , la casa dei nostri nonni, la casa dei ricordi e dove abbiamo trascorso la nostra vacanza quando io e i miei cugini ci siamo incontrati per la prima volta nel 1962. Così la storia continua, la casa di Serra ci mantiene uniti. Sembra di emergere dalle pagine di un romanzo..aprire le finestre, arieggiare le stanze chiuse per tanto tempo, risvegliare la casa con il nostro vociare.. proprio come fanno i personaggi di Virginia Woolf in Gita al faro (To the lighthouse).. bentornati cugini!

Great post. On behalf of the Nolfi clan I want to thank you for the sleuthing on our Nonno. His passing at an early age leaves a gap in our knowledge of him.
While causing more than a twinge of envy, keep the food pictures coming. They look delish!
On an aside, I’m most impressed with Bonnie’s use of the word accretion; very erudite! One other thing your route to Le Marche closely follows Garibaldi’s escape from multiple armies during the Risorgiamento. Va been!
